Vanessa Lautee is a Portrait Artist from Melbourne, Australia who specialises in realism. She predominantly works with soft pastel on professional grade paper, often combining several reference photos to create the perfect artwork.
Around 8 year’s ago, one of Vanessa's best friend's daughter became an angel. Vanessa wanted to gift her friend something precious to honour and celebrate her child. She decided to draw her friend's baby. To this day, her portrait still hangs proudly beside those of her living siblings.
This is how Vanessa Lautee Custom Art began. Vanessa has now run her successful art business for 7 years, in which time she has completed over 1,000 portraits.
When I heard of Possum Portraits, I knew it was a charity that I wanted to be involved with. Sadly and proudly, I have drawn many Angel babies.
I hope my drawings help parents a little with their healing journeys, and let them know that their babies are cherished deeply.
I feel privileged and honoured to create artworks that can last many lifetimes.
