Artist Bio
Maria is a Melbourne based artist. She creates contemporary realist paintings, primarily working in oils.
​
Her work centres on elements of nature and the human form, spanning the genres of still-life, portraiture and landscape art. Maria exhibits regularly and has been a finalist in a number of Australian art awards.

Maria has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Monash University, a degree in Graphic Design and a Diploma in Illustration.
Being one of the artists at Possum Portraits is a privilege and an honour. I strongly believe in the power of art to heal and to ease emotional pain, because it has done so for me many times throughout my life.
It is a wonderful feeling knowing that each drawing
I create can potentially help someone going through grief.
